Reasons for the Seasons Lab
A Vernier Temperature probe was attached to North America on four separate globes, labeled A-D. The globes were positioned around a lamp, students were able to observe how the tilt of the earth affects the amount of sunlight & heat throughout its revolution around the sun. Students had to record the temperatures and decide which season would be assigned to each. In addition to assigning the season to each globe, they also were able to determine why the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere have opposite seasons.
